Marine Archaeology
Marine Archaeology Surveying Techniques (MAST)
Website: www.hawaii.edu/mop/?q=mast
The MAST field school is offered to university students during the summers, and is supported by MOP and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). This intensive course provides training in maritime archaeology surveying techniques through hands-on diving expeditions to local plane- and shipwrecks. Although not a project by itself, it is a great opportunity in this field and will provide the necessary training to conduct an independent project.
