Scientific diving at UH Hilo Marine Option Program falls under the University system wide diving program. This can be found at: http://www.hawaii.edu/ehso/diving/

Students MOP utilize scientific diving skills for a number of projects and opportunities. North West Hawaiian Island Cruises, DLNR, NOAA and other opportunities make MOP students very qualified as working scientific divers after graduating or on their way to graduate school.

The UH Hilo dive locker consists of an 18 CFM nitrox fill station with over 80 scuba tanks. Safety gear includes several sets of O2 kits. We also have a number of inflatables and an 18' Larson for reserch and education.
